August at Nomos
This month has been full steam ahead for the Nomos team! Here’s just a few of our highlights:
- We started the month with the City2Surf. Our Charity Partner, The TLR Foundation had a team of 75 people participating in the fun run, and we were there too. The marquee on Bondi Beach was heaps of fun, despite the cold weather, and we were proud to help the Foundation raise over $50,000 towards a perpetual scholarship for a Master in Cancer and Haematology Nursing!
- We were in Melbourne this month where Victoria undertook compliance training with some of our clients. This is a new service that we’ve introduced to some of our larger-scale corporate clients, and the feedback we’ve been getting is that it is very helpful for HR Managers and other senior management staff who are responsible for overseeing visa holding employees.
- One of our clients attracted some media attention this month, so Kathryn has been busy doing media interviews. You can read one of them here. Kathryn has been commenting not only on the case in question but also the recent changes to immigration health policy, which will make a significant difference to visa applications for people with a chronic medical condition or disability.
That’s the Nomos wrap-up for August. See you in September!
