January at Nomos
Welcome to 2020! We have hit the ground running this month. Here’s just a few of our December/January highlights:
- We have seen a significant slowing down in processing of TSS visa applications over the December/January period. This hasn’t affected any of our clients who are Accredited Sponsors, obviously, so we were very glad to have applied for this status for them last year as it meant their businesses were not adversely affected during a very busy time of year.
- As the new regional visas become more established within our migration programme, we are seeing no real difference between the subclass 189 and the subclass 491 in terms of the points required for an invitation. In the most recent invitation round (January 2020), invitations in both subclasses were issued to applicants with 90 points and over. This is only slightly lower than the December 2019 round, where invitations were extended to applicants with 95 points and over. A strategic approach to skilled migration is as important as ever for any candidates who are considering this pathway.
- The Nomos team travelled across the globe over the Christmas and New Year period. Have a look at our photos and see if you can guess where we went? Each of us had a fantastic break and a well-deserved rest, and we are now back at work with our batteries fully recharged.
That’s the Nomos wrap-up for January. See you next month!
