February at Nomos
We have had an exciting month at Nomos! Here’s just a few of our February highlights:
- Exciting addition to Nomos services. Director Victoria Stevenson is now a Licenced Immigration Advisor approved by the New Zealand Immigration Advisers Authority. Australia and New Zealand are two main destinations for people thinking about immigrating to a new country and Nomos is now able to advise clients on a full range of immigration matters for both countries. Let us help you decide whether to support the All Blacks or the Wallabies!
- The Department of Home Affairs has recently made a number of COVID-19 concessions relating to where an applicant must be in order to be granted certain family stream visas. Many family stream visas (such as offshore partner and some parent visas) typically require applicants to be outside Australia at the time the visa is granted but this is obviously not feasible at present, so DHA has made good on its promises to make some temporary concessions for certain visa applicants.
- As February draws to a close, we are reminded that this time last year we had just attended the Sydney Mardi Gras Fair Day with our own stall! Though saddened that we are not able to contribute to Fair Day relating to where an applicant must be in order to be granted certain family stream visas. Many family stream visas (such as offshore partner and some parent visas) typically require applicants to be outside Australia at the time the visa is granted but this is obviously not feasible at present, so DHA has made good on its promises to make some temporary concessions for certain visa applicants.
That’s the Nomos wrap-up for February. See you next month!
